Math Integers

Portrait version of MathIntegers
iPad application Math Integers provides quizzes for operations with positive and negative integers (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and Statistics (mean, median, mode, range). Math Integers content is aligned with CCSS Mathematics Standards and covers the following domains of CCSS for grades 6 through 7:
• The Number System;
• Expressions & Equations;
• Ratios & Proportional Relationships;
• Statistics & Probability.

The relationship between the quizzes and CCSS Mathematics Standards are described in the CCSS at BMA webpage.

The application includes:

• Three executive pages: "Add,Subtract", "Multiply,Divide", "Statistics".
• Tab bar at the bottom of each page to switch from one page to another.
• Special set of control buttons for each executive page.
• A special screen section where a user name, records of the current session & the number of errors in a session are logged.

Basic features of the application:
• Quizzes for arithmetic operations have five levels of complexity. The user should tap one of the levels to start the session.
• The quiz type at the page Statistics is selected by pressing one of the 4 buttons: “Mean”, “Median”, “Mode”, “Range”.

Here are the general rules for all quizzes:
• All quizzes are organized in sessions.
• Only a session with 20 quizzes is evaluated and counts as completed. If a session is interrupted before a set from 20 quizzes is finished, the results of this session are not copied to the Clipboard.
• Inside a session, a user can start a new quiz by pressing the button “Next”.
• If a user is not sure what the correct answer is, the button “Help” is there to assist.
• When a session is completed:
   - the session results, accompanied by a user name, the number of errors, the score and elapsed time, are copied to the Clipboard;

   - the log on the screen is cleared.
• To start a new session, a user should confirm the user name or enter another name & then choose the quiz level.
• A user can paste the Clipboard content into Apple applications like Mail or Notes for later analysis.
• To send the session results by email, a user should:
  - open the Mail application and start a new email;
  - tap a content area until menu options will appear and select the item “Paste”.
• To save the session results with Notes, a user should
  - open Notes & start a new note;
  - tap a content area until menu options will appear and select the item “Paste”.
