Math BK5

iPhone application Math BK5 provides a spectrum of mathematical exercises with whole numbers & decimals. It covers addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Math BK5 content is aligned with CCSS Mathematics Standards requirements and covers the following domains of CCSS for grades 1 through 6:
• Operations & Algebraic Thinking;
• Number & Operations in Base Ten;
• The Number System.
Math BK5 content is also aligned with Singapore Math Practice.
Quizzes for each arithmetic operation are divided into five levels of complexity. The relationship between the complexity level and CCSS Mathematics Standards/Singapore Math Practice can be found on a page CCSS/Singapore Math.

Math BK5 offers:
• The special Info page with
- a brief description of the application and its basic rules,
- Tab Bar for switching from one page to another;
- 2 buttons “Whole Numbers” & “Decimals” for selecting a type of practice.
• 4 active pages "+", "-", "x", "÷".
All active pages include numeric keys for data entry and control buttons "Next quiz", "New session".

Here are the general rules for all quizzes:
• All quizzes are organized in sessions.
• A user can at any moment start a new quiz by pressing the button “Next quiz”.
• A session is completed when the “New Session” button is tapped. At the same time the session results are copied to the Clipboard.
• To start a new session the user after pressing the button “New session” should choose the quiz level.
• The button “New Session” should be pressed after selecting the practice type (“Whole Numbers” or “Decimals”).
• A user can paste Clipboard content into Apple applications like Mail or Notes for later analysis.
• To send the session results by email, a user should:
   - open the Mail application and start a new email;
   - tap a content area until menu options appear and select the item “Paste”.
• To save the session results with Notes, a user should:
   - open Notes & start a new note;
   - tap a content area until menu options appear and select the item “Paste”.
